Still trying to catch up.....

All right so I suck at blogging now.  Admission is the first step right?

Thanksgiving - we went to Montana for Thanksgiving and we had a ton of fun.  We got to stay for like a whole week and just hang out.  It was our last big horah trip before baby Alexander comes into our lives.

Wheezy - our terribly behaved but loved dog died just a bit before Christmas.  She was notorious for getting out of the backyard and causing issues.... which she was doing again.  And of course one night I let her out to pee, she got out of the gate and she was hit by a car.  Luckily Brian was on his way home from work when this happened so he was able to get her and take her to be put down.  I know I know...... I have always said I hated her but the truth is no other dog could love my son and be as good with him as she was.  And my son LOVED his dog.  The true fire way to get my son giggling was to just let her in the house and giggling ensued.  I was absolutely heart broken that my son's beloved Wheezy died.  I mean.... when one of Zach's first words is Wheezy, obviously that proved she was a big part of our lives.  And of course, I was heart broken for my husband as well - he loved that dog (and yes, sometimes more then me).  She is kind of irreplaceable.... because there seriously is no dog like her.  She was a pain in the butt....... however, she had more good things about her then not.  It was just really hard for me to see that until she was gone.  I no longer have a dog to finish off the left overs.  Well, Wheezy Brown.... we loved you and miss you.

Christmas - we were in town for Christmas.  Everyone was appalled by the fact that we didn't put up a Christmas tree.  I didn't want to have to yell at Zachary to not touch the tree every five seconds.  So we would take Zach over to his Grandma's (Brian's mom) to visit her tree.  Zach LOVED the Christmas lights everyone put up outside.  He was always so excited and would point out the pretty lights as we drove around at night.  "Light" is one of his words so it was cute.  Next year Brian and I will decorate inside and out since he will be old enough to appreciate it.  One of the presents we gave Zach was this dinosaur book.  Holy crap - it is Zach's favorite thing on the planet now.  If he even sees it you have to read it to him like ten times.  He roars at the dinosaurs and kisses them goodnight.  It's so adorable.  I'm glad we hit the jack pot with that book.  If you have a toddler I highly recommend it.
