18month old Zachary
Zachary is now 18 months old (he was actually 14 months in this photo.... but close enough). He is now 28lbs and 34 inches long, which is 2.8ft tall. He is still in the 90th percentile for height and weight - yes, he is a big kid. He is growing out of his 18month clothes and we just bought him his first real shoes in a size 6 (his last shoes were his "beginner walker" shoes with soft flexible soles). They are super cute Pumas - he looks like such a big kid when he wears them. He finally got two molars at the beginning of this month and another bottom front tooth. Two top molars also tried to come through but are only partially out of his gum line. Thank heavens, this kid didn't have teeth for forever. He can finally eat apples!
What can I tell you about him - his is very active and very fast. For example, at the park he is so not into being stuck into a swing - he prefers to run around. He totally is the kid who will run in front of cars if you let him go for even a fraction of a second (it's terrifying). He no longer gives kisses to say thank you but he will still sometimes pat you on the arm. He loves to go outside and totally knows if I'm gathering our stuff to go somewhere - he will grab my hand and drag me to the front door. He really likes movies - sometimes he is so glued to the TV that if wants to sit on my lap he won't look at where I am, he just backs up with his butt sticking out and search me out until his butt hits my legs. It's super funny. He LOVES milk. He drinks about 3 sippy cups full of milk in the morning for his breakfast. He still can't talk but when he wants a refill he will bring me his empty sippy cup and grunt. We can tell him "Where is your Singe? Go find Singe." or "Go find your bink" and thankfully he knows what we are talking about and will go grab his monkey or bink. Now.... if we could just keep him from throwing his sippy cup or food off his high chair we'd be set.
Here is a list of words that he can say: Grandma, Grandpa, Mama, Dad, Wheezy, all gone, bye, hi, wow, ow, light. There may be more words but I forget - he only says any of these words when he wants to. His Grandma Brown lives so close that he will sometimes say Grandma when we turn down her street or pull up to her house. His newest thing is ow and wow. I'll try to get it on video when he is truly "wowed" by something, it's hilarious and is the only time he whispers. When he and I are shopping at the grocery store or target he will often wave and say hi to anyone who passes by.
He is a really cute and fun kid. We love him a ton.
